City Trustees will allow the majority of investments permitted by legislation in its schemes. The following are permitted investments, however, if you are in any doubt please contact City Trustees with details of the investment:

• Stocks and shares on any quoted stock exchange. This covers most transferrable securities:

  • equities

  • fixed interest securities issued by government or other bodies

  • debenture stock and other loan stock

  • PIBS (Permanent Interest Bearing Share)

  • convertible securities

  • ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds)

  • warrants

• AIM listed shares

• OEICs, Unit Trusts and Investment Trusts

• UCITS (Undertaking for Collective Investments in Transferable Securities)

• Insurance company managed funds

• Trustee Investment Plans

• Corporate bonds

• Debentures, Loan notes

• Contracts for Difference

• Hedge funds

• Capital protected funds

• Cash and cash based instruments

• Traded Endowment Policies

• Commercial Property in the UK

• Farmland or forestry

• Development Land (please discuss with City Trustees)

• Gold Bullion bar or wafer which is at least 995 thousandths pure
